Kaely and Doug Tie the Knot at UVA
There is only one word to describe this day…PERFECT. Green, green grass….blue, blue sky….partly cloudy, a breezy 85 degree day….AMAZING. The ceremony was held at the esteemed University of Virginia Chapel while the newly opened, Old Trail Golf Club, played host to the reception. Kaely and Doug had a very large bridal party sporting seersucker suits and ivory bridesmaid gowns accenting the brides gorgeous ivory gown perfectly.
You could not take a bad shot at the golf club as amazing greens flanked the reception on all sides. Kaely and Doug were complete hams on our private shoot until Doug accidentally whacked Kaely in the face with a club. Whoops, no major damage was done, but we all laughed pretty hard.
I have to say that the father/daughter and mother/son dance was the most incredibly sentimental moment. I was fighting back tears along with the rest of the crowd. It is a beautiful honor to document these raw emotions and capture the love between newlyweds and their families.
Kaely and Doug, you are an amazing couple with a rich love and supportive family and friends. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day. We loved every second! Hope the secret honeymoon was golf club free for Kaely’s sake!
