Kelly and Josh…to love, honor and cherish.
If I had to pick three of my favorite months to shoot in, I would say hands down September, October and November. Fall is my favorite season and I will be honest….photographing in sweltering southern heat is not my idea of fun. I do not sweat very pretty.
Kelly and Josh’s wedding hosted an awesomely mild fall day. We shot Kelly’s bridal portraits a few months prior which made it all the more special to photograph her wedding. We came to appreciate her subtle humor and relaxed demeanor. She has a way of making you feel welcome instantly. Kelly and Josh your family, friends and bridal party were so great to work with. Everyone provided such a stress-free day! We loved spending time with you and baring witness to your love for one another. Enjoy some of our favorite moments from the day.
For the umpteenth weekend in a row, we were dazzled by the man, the myth, the legend, Rod Meek. His arrangements are always stunning.
Josh gave Kelly some of the sweetest looks during their ceremony. Their pastor presented such a personal and heartwarming account of Kelly and Josh’s love for one another. Ryan and I always get a bit sappy about our own marriage after we shoot a wedding. It is truly one of our greatest blessings in our marriage and we are constantly reminded of the vows we made with each other as we watch others enter into their vows.
Kelly asked that for her bridal party and private session that we take them somewhere downtown that would make her mom say, “I don’t get it!” Jan….she made us do it! We did ask if everyone’s tetanus shot was up to date.
During our “rustic” photo session we worked around some unsavory obstacles such as broken glass. The girls broke into an impromtu singalong of “Broken Glass” by Annie Lennox.
Love this one
and this one
love the intensity of this one
Father daughter dance
Tunes were belted out by the Steve Freeman Band
Ryan saw a little girl in the corner coloring during the reception. He asked if he could borrow her masterpiece to take a picture. I absolutely adore this.
a more sophisticated shot
This has an old mob feel to it. Not that these guys were up to anything unsavory…just the light and effect on it give it that look.
The elegant mother of the bride and brother of the bride
Blessings Kelly and Josh! Thank you for choosing us.
