The “Besties” of 2008
We would be remiss not to have a post dedicated to some of our favorite moments of 2008. (The Dundies were already taken so we went with Besties) We are blessed with some of the most amazing subjects who start out as clients and leave as friends. I wish I could post 100 images but I am going to discipline myself to chose a few less than that!
Thank you all for constantly challenging Ryan and I to go the distance in our shooting and for trusting us with some of the crazy ideas we come up with. Thank you for your transparency with the lens and for letting us be privy to some of your more intimate moments. It is an honor to serve you with this medium.

When married life throws you tough times you hike up your skirt/pull up your pants and you keep on loving each other because that’s what a union is about. It’s also just a darn beautiful photo! That water…wow!

December 23rd, 2008 at 6:09 amYou have given quite an impossible mission, kelly. All of these are awesome in different ways; however, I am never one to not complete a mission. When I first read that we had to choose our favorite, I was crossing my fingers that a picture from the vintage furniture store made it in…AND IT DID!!!!! Because of my gut instinct, I’m going to have to go with numero 32. It just reminds me of something that would be in a vintage voque. My runner up was number 19, though, if that is needed for any tie breaker. :)

While 20 and 39 are my personal favorites and should belong in a museum, for this purpose I must go with 27. I remember when Ryan first loaded this pic on flickr and I was stunned - such an amazing photograph and so cool that’s it’s a piece of art of living history.

Then, I thought about how sweet the kissing pictures were, but I began to think they might have been “prompted” … (grr the thought process for me here, lol) so anyways, I went with a very candid shot and my number one choice was #38, lol… where the poor guy was getting his head smashed into the ceiling… but for a more serious shot… I love #2. I think of being that couple and the emotion that picture would spark as we grew older together and had that to look back on. (Sorry for giving you a glimpse into my mind!) Merry Christmas!

Wow, this is hard. I really love 35. I love the backdrop, I love the texture and color you put on it. It has this old time romantic feel, but also very fresh and new.
I also love 33 b/c her laugh looks so contagious. You wonder what he is saying to her.
And 42 is pretty amazing too. It looks like a very peaceful yet stunning photo.

51: modern, this is what’s in style now….I’m so glad the “traditional” engagement shots are changing…out with the boring and in with the sexy and unique photos. People really seem to like this one and I def see why.
I guess if I have to pick a favorite it would have to be 51. I am a big fan of your work, and I have never seen anything like this in any of your other sets…it is awesome. I love where yall are going with your photos (future). the couple in this shot had outstanding pictures(from there set)…good looking couple, great locations, and awesome editing…. bravo kelly & ryan!! bravo.
