The trade show went really well on Saturday. Ryan and I remained sane even though our marriage and home was put to the test the last two weeks with the construction of two gigantic walls in our dining room! I found the inspiration in the latest Pottery Barn magazine (be still my heart). I thought, hey, we could do that….build some walls and do a collage of our work up there. That would look pretty sweet.
After Ryan spent one of the coldest days of the winter outside with one of our amazing friends (Nathan….seriously, you are the coolest) framing up the walls, they were brought into our house because they wouldn’t fit down in our basement. Do you know how difficult it is to keep a curious two year old and a crawling infant away from a construction zone?
I was happy to see the walls vacate the premises on Saturday morning to stand in glory at the trade show. They stand 8 feet tall!
Ryan said I was allowed to point out that he did not remove the camera bag, my purse or the lamp we didn’t use from the lower left frame of the picture. Although I also see the massive hunk of dip given to us by one of the food vendors left on the little table on the right. This is driving me batty when I look at the picture, but you get the picture. We got to see two of our future brides for 2009 at the event (Hey Hillary and Ellen) and of course catch up with some of our favorite vendors in the area.
We will let you know next time we are going to be lugging our walls to a trade show near you.
