Vegas Part 4 of 5: Desert Bromance

Bromance you ask?
The concept isn’t new but the term is relatively. Aristotle defined this relationship as “those who desire the good of their friends for the friends’ sake that are most truly friends, because each loves the other for what he is, and not for any incidental quality”.
I had to dedicate a post to Ryan and Dustin because they, indeed, have a killer bromance going on and us wives could not be happier. We all know how hard it can be for guys to open up to one another and “go deep”. Our friendship with Christy and Dustin, of Emblem Photography, happened slowly over the last couple years thanks to the good old internet! Ryan and Dustin started communicating about 6 months ago through email and then Skype quickly followed. WE love these two for more reasons than I have room to write. We share the same season of life with young families, our husbands still work full time as well as having a full time photography business and they love Jesus as much as us. It only seemed like destiny that we all meet and become best friends.
Dustin and Ryan hit it off swimmingly from the first email. They share the same sense of humor, interests and most of all a passion for photography. We literally couldn’t shut these two up the whole time we were in Vegas together. While we were out in the desert photographing each other, the wives turned the tables on the boys and captured some moments of their “bromance”.
Not really sure what is going on in this photo but that seems to be the norm.
This is their cheesy album cover pose.
I have no words…only that I get a lifetime of this!
Totally missed the focus on this one but the style is so fantastic I could not resist putting it in.
Love this shot of Ryan…Dustin took this, not me.
How do you make a 6’6” man look taller….this angle.
Some of you have asked where our pictures are. If you jump over to Emblems blog then you can see some shots they took of us. Here is a small sampling.
I usually would NOT appreciate a huge picture of my face…33 is beginning to show. But I love the look I am giving Ryan. He is my best friend and he makes me laugh harder than anyone. It is so good to remember how intimidating it can be to be photographed being romantic. To truly lose yourself in front of a camera and just engage with your love…..it was a stark reminder as a photographer how to be sensitive to couples we are asking to pretend we are not just inches away from their intimate moments.
Of course we had to incorporate a jumping shot too.
