Rockin out!

One of my dearest and most talented friends, Candace, rang in her 28th b-day in the rockinist of ways….with a Guitar Hero party. Not familiar with Guitar Hero…tisk, tisk…it is only the most fun “pretend” band game out there. She invited a few of her friends over to a conference room at our church so we could play on the big screen. We were suppose to dress like “rockers” although I give a C- to several attendees who only put forth a “modest” effort” at finding a rockin outfit. Ryan and I went all out. I was channeling a more vintage glamor rocker like Duffy and Ryan was basically any indie rocker out there. We had fun with it and fun guitaring and singing our hearts out.

If only you could have heard some of the notes John was attempting to hit. We vacillated between awestruck and laughing. He gave it 110%.

Things got a little crazy by the end. The scarf came off Candace’s neck and onto her head, the music was turned up and then there was dancing. That’s what people in their late 20’s and early 30’s do….we’re wild I tell ya, wild!

True friendship in its purest form is a Guitar Hero party! WOOT WOOT. Happy Birthday once again Miss Candace and YOU GO GIRL and the outfits cause both you and Candace look awesome..The hubbys do to, but girls always rule!

I want to frame that image of ryan and put it on my desk to remind me that no matter how bad life gets, be eternally happy. also, so funny to see you and ryan the same height in the first photo… you guys are the best :)
