Chrissy and Jay are that couple that tends to crack one joke after another and has “sarcasm” as their middle name. You can see why we have been friends for so long. You never know how two jokesters would actually do with such a serious shoot. They did not disappoint in the least. We may just change their middle name to “sultry” now!!! Grrrrrrrrr………
Seriously, Jay does one impression and one voice after another and Chrissy tells these really great stories in her amazing Jersey accent. We have so much FUN with them. They knew they wanted to have some memories of a place they have worked, lived and played music in, none other than New York City. We were so pumped. The weather was PERFECT and although we had NO CLUE where we were in that city, there was no shortage of cool spots and color everywhere we turned.
Chrissy and Jay spent their first night in the swanky Empire Hotel. If only we had free reign to shoot wherever we wanted inside. You have to click the link and see gorgeous it is decorated!
We met them up in their room. It took everything within me not to jump face first into the massively fluffy king-size bed.
We were a little limited on time so we needed to get game faces on so we could get shots like this.
So Jay got some energy out for us. He seriously was jumping his heart out. I could have posted a ton of these because they are hilarious to look at! Sweet style points Jay.
We ventured up to the rooftop of the hotel to see what we could find on the sundeck.
They had a small pool with this awesome silver wall reflecting in. Made for a great background. I think this is one of my favorite series from the day. Hottie McHotpants!
Ryan would like it to be known that “When in Rome” does not apply to him here. Just because he was in NYC he didn’t feel free to dress expressively. There was water around the pool and he didn’t want his pants dragging in it. (Whatever, I say you make fun of him. 6’6” Huck Finn…he is just asking for it!!!)
We walked down to the Lincoln Center for a few shots on the stairs.
It was actually harder than it seemed to get people to just walk by without parting around Chrissy and Jay. This is them telling everyone to keep walking by. Being from Syracuse and Ryan from Boston we just figured people would have no problem charging down the sidewalks without caring we were shooting. Surprisingly, not so much.
At the base of Trump Towers.
Jay’s eyes are looking smoldering in this shot.
Little pit stop at a fruit stand.
Back inside the hotel. There was a little more sass to be flashed before calling it a day.
Ahhhh….what a great, great session with the Romines! If I didn’t gush enough on your wedding post, let me take this moment to say one more time how blessed we are to call you friends. We love you guys so incredibly much. I love that you still say “HHHHHHHOOOOOTTTT” and “Ellll-bow” Chloe will laugh one day when she hears about the inside jokes she provided us.
You are a deep buried treasure in our lives and our marriage. Thank you for choosing us to play such a key part of your wedding weekend. It was truly a celebration!
