Deep breath in…..now let it out….this is going to be a long one. (Cracking knuckles….and typing). Before I launch into this post about their wedding details, let’s refresh our memories on my previous post.
A- Jill is hot
B- Jed is hot
C- They look pretty in pictures
Need a refresher?
I know, I know, if they weren’t so darn awesome I may have to totally boycott their hotness. Anyhoo….
On to the long-awaited post (long if you are Jill and Jed and maybe a few others that have not so subtly dropped hints to me on Facebook that I am taking too long!)
Jill and Jed got married in the beautiful town of Easton, Maryland at his aunt and uncle’s summer home right on the Chesapeake Bay. The whole vibe was laid back beauty. Seriously, everywhere you looked it was gorgeous but the atmosphere was so relaxed and easy going. It was a perfect pairing and great fit for our style. Very inspiring. Did I mention that Jill and Jed booked us two months prior to their wedding and they hardly had a detail planned at that point? I don’t think the word “stress” enters their vocabulary. Every call we had with them went something like, “So do you know what you are doing for your reception time?” “Nah, we will figure that out later.” OKAY…later it is! I know their family pitched in the week before the wedding to pull together a spectacular day to remember.
The beautiful and understated bling. I was loving the gold.
I can not believe this shot came out. She literally flicked the necklace out to put it on her neck and Ryan grabbed it at the right moment….BAM….love it!
This is Jill’s niece, Naomi, and my friend Aimee’s daughter. Jill got the two flower girls little necklaces with their birthstones on them. Naomi wanted to make sure no clothing detracted from the beauty of the necklace.
Loved the fabric on the tables. Thought about swiping them to make pillows afterward but practiced self control.
When you add the two pictures above you equal this picture below.
Let’s take a look at the ladies. Not only did Jill design her own wedding gown, she designed the girls’ dresses too! This is Jill and her beautiful sister Jenny.
Jill and Jed’s moms looking on.
I would like to point out that where I was standing when this picture was taken was a nice, ripe patch of poison ivy. My heart about jumped out of my chest as I already had a SEVERE case of it earlier in the summer. I tried to go wash my legs off to no avail…..It has been over three weeks since their wedding and my right leg is still covered in poison ivy. Please feel bad for me. It was worth it, this wedding was awesome…but still…you can send sympathy or chocolate my way, I won’t mind.
This was the pastor running through his notes before the ceremony.
Jenny and her dad before Jenny went down the aisle.
Reception time. Jill and Jed kept with the laid-back theme and had a BBQ company come in and serve up some delicious pork BBQ with some great comfort food for sides. Kids ran around and played on the playground or a game of horseshoes while the adults started the party.
I’m confused….who is working here? Ryan and our intern Kenny seem to be taking a breather while I slave away shooting WITH POISON IVY INVADING MY FLESH. Just saying.
Jed seriously gave one of the best, most heartfelt speeches I have ever heard a groom give. He addressed every single member of his family individually, as well as Jill’s family and then finally Jill. I was so impressed by his poise and ability to speak so directly and personally from his heart. It was awesome.
This next photo is the best way for me to wrap up this post. Jill’s family were so incredibly wonderful to Ryan and me while we were in Maryland. They instantly welcomed us in, put us up in a BEAUTIFUL house on the water and were just terrifically warm and fun. When Jill’s mom, June, saw the picture of the guys jumping in our slideshow she went over to Ryan and said she wanted one too! June is supremely elegant so it was awesome times ten that she initiated such an energetic shot! This is June and her three children Jenny, Jay and Jill! Oh what a feeling…..
Jill and Jed, thank you for giving in to Aimee and Aubin’s badgering to check out Kellan Studios. We are so glad you feel in love with us because we sure fell in love with you. That weekend was like a vacation. You have impeccable taste, amazing friends and family. We hope you enjoyed reliving some memories from your day. May God richly bless you as you begin your journey together as husband and wife.
