And The Beat Goes On….

posted by Kelly

We have a couple great shoots up our sleeve to show you over the next week (teasers below) but we thought we would interrupt this incredibly interesting blog to show you just how adorable our kids are again. Yeah for us! Yeah for us having adorable spawn!

As a stay at home mom I find that I need to get really creative to occupy the minds and energy levels of a 16 month old and a 34 month old. Bennett has recently started to have an attention span larger than a gnats which thrills me to no end! We have finally started a “craft time” that includes him. I use the term “craft” loosely because that word seems to insinuate glue and pom poms. Not so much. I think of our time as a 30 minute artistic expression time killer. Chloe gets to do some cool crafts with finger paints, glue or even homemade oobleck. Bennett gets to sit in his high chair with a HUGE piece of paper, a few crayons and then I stick stickers all over his face and arms which takes him a long time to peel off and put on his paper. Everybody is a winner. They get to craft and I get to laugh at their adorableness.

Chloe wanted in on the sticker action.

Fun with around our house.

Fun with around our house.

Fun with around our house.

Look at his crazy snaggle-tooth.

Fun with around our house.

Don’t let his cuteness fool you. Leave him alone for a minute and disaster! He dumped an entire tub of the most amazing cheese dip ever…ON HIS HEAD, down our computer chair, down my painting, into a pile of cheesy sadness on the floor. I don’t know if I was more sad at the mess or that he wasted the entire tub of Gordo’s cheese dip!

Never leave a toddler alone with liquid cheese. What a waste of amazingness!

Stole this idea from our friends, the Nickersons. Ingenious idea, the fan tent!

Fun with around our house.

Now a little looky loo into what’s on the docket.

My brother and sister-in-law finally cashed in on their Christmas present from a couple years ago…so we will just call this a 6th year anniversary shoot for them!

The kiddos keep getting cuter and cuter…who knew it was possible that they could get cuter!

Yay, you busted out the fan fort! I’m sure they LOVED IT!

And I would be a wreck about the cheese dip! what a waste. We love cheese around here! Abel is a disaster as well!!! Leave him for a minute and the whole house is upside down.

Pictures look so great! love the place in Richmond!!!

I love that idea of sticking stickers all over him to keep him occupied! Genius!

He’s looking longer in the face now so I am imagining he’s starting to walk some of the baby fat off.

Details of the fan tent please!

As proud inventor of the fan fort (as far as I know), I’m honored to see it being passed down to future generations who will partake in all its windy glory.
