Kelly and Brandon Married~ Charles City, VA: PART 1
posted by Kelly
I think I will always refer to Kelly and Brandon’s wedding as “the perfect wedding.” I mean we shoot AMAZING weddings ALL THE TIME, but nary a wedding that is packaged with perfect southern California-ish weather. It’s no wonder San Diego brags about its weather; I would too! 72 degrees, sunny, not a cloud in the sky. I wore pants, close-toed shoes, my hair down on my neck and didn’t sweat one tiny drop of funk all day! Six months pregnant, eight hours on my feet, covering acres of plantation grounds….not one bead of sweat. PERFECTION. What only enhanced this perfect day was the insanely gorgeous Berekley Plantation, our stunning bride Kelly (high fives on the name), and our dapper groom, Brandon. I have a goofy grin just typing this and reflecting back to Saturday. Sigh….
Kelly is the epitomy of class. I think her interior design career feeds into her already stellar taste for structure, beauty and style. For her gorgeous leather J-Crew heels to her sweet, peach-colored sweater wrap from Anthropologie! Her accessories were simple, deliberate and uber feminine!
This wedding was distinctly fall with a creamy, rich palette of off-white, orange, yellow, green, brown and black. The rustic backdrop of the plantation grounds incorporated Brandon’s love of the outdoors. If you remember back to their engagement session from the spring…Brandon is one of those amazing men that hiked the entire Appalachian Trail! Kelly and Brandon actually met at a bike shop so there were touches of bikedom from their cake topper to an adorable teal bike built for two that we used during the First Look.
Enjoy Part One full of details and First Look magic. We ADORE this couple, they feel like family to us.
Kelly’s elegant J-Crew shoes.
I love first look giddiness!
That bike is no joke to pedal. I have no idea what it weighs alone but Brandon definitely had to psyche himself up to pedal it around the grounds in a suit and look like it was “fun”!
Brandon is a wonderful illustrator. He and Kelly came up with the concept of the tree for their wedding branding and Brandon illustrated this tree as their spin on a guest book. I love it!
So are you hooked? Stay tuned for PART 2 coming soon!
